Thilan Karunathilake
Chief Executive Officer
Thilan Karunathilake brings over 24 years of extensive international experience in supply chain management, logistics, and procurement to his role as Chief Executive Officer of Securatec Lanka Private Limited. Appointed in 2024, he leads the company with a clear vision: to transform Securatec into Sri Lanka’s leading provider of integrated defence and security solutions through innovation, operational excellence, and a people-first approach.
He has held senior leadership roles across Sri Lanka, the Middle East, and Africa including Regional Head for Panalpina Support Center – South Asia, Key Account Manager – Global Accounts at Agility Logistics, National Product Manager at Cargo Partner Logistics and Redington Group – Middle East, and Chief Operating Officer at AKI Group in South-East Africa.
Thilan has a proven track record in business transformation. At AKI Group, he scaled the business from a mid-sized operation into a dominant, large-scale market leader growing the team from 10 to over 200 staff and expanding operations from 2 to 8 divisions within just three years.
An award-winning supply chain professional, Thilan is certified by the International Purchasing and Supply Chain Management Institute (IPSCMI). He was recognized as the ‘Outstanding Employee of the Year 2016/17’ by Redington Group, the leading IT distributor in the Middle East and Africa, for his excellence in sales, marketing, and customer service.
